MOD X Scotland
MOD X SCOTLAND will investigate how Scotland, a region of the UK, has developed industrialized building capability through strategic industry and government partnership.
This MODX learning journey is targeted at companies on the construction supply chain. The purpose of the journey is to understand the context of the UK and Scotland to determine how supply chain operators can respond to progressive offsite manufactures wanting to scale. Further, companies from abroad and those in Scotland will mutually share their perspectives on business models in OSM.
The objectives of this learning journey are to:
- Investigate supply chain product or process solutions for timber offsite manufacturers
- Foster relationships with a selection of progressive offsite operators collaborating for scale
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the UK and Scottish context for the purposes of market response
- Investigate business model platforms for offsite manufacture
Factory tours will include panelized and modular manufacturing.
