WHAT IS MOD X EDU?
Building upon decades of rigorous research and on their unique perspective on the current opportunities and challenges of leading actors in offsite, MOD X will present the key concepts and principles, business strategies and models, product and subassemblies, and lessons learned internationally to maximize success in offsite delivery.
The MOD X team will provide a select cohort of participants the fundamentals and most relevant case studies for moving the industry forward.
The course will start with a networking event, followed by four synchronous online sessions focused on:

Business Models and Product Platforms
Design for Manufacture and Assembly
Automation, Manufacturing, Subassembly & Site Work
Wrap Up Session
Sessions will be hosted by MOD X on Zoom. Each sessions includes a presentation and a real time Q&A. After each session, participants will have access to a video recording as well as a summary of the discussion from that day for a period of two months. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their profile as part of the growing MOD X Network online platform.
Companies can choose to register for a multi-seat package of up to four participants which will culminate in an additional 2-hour advisory session designed to help apply the lessons to your own organization and operation. A mutual NDA will be available to maintain full privacy.

In this session, MOD X will introduce five of the largest and most innovative companies in the Japanese offsite sector: Daiwa Home, Sekisui House, Muji House, Misawa Homes and Sekisui Chemical. This session will highlight the initial strategies of each company and how they have since evolved to address new opportunities and obstacles.
Session #3 Design for Manufacture and Assembly

In this session, MOD X will focus on design for manufacturing and assembly in Japan through the use of product platforms. While a number of product platforms will be introduced, focus will be paid to Sekisui Chemical’s Sekisui Heim (steel) and Two U Systems (wood). Through these examples, the key but often elusive balance between standardization and customization will be explained.
