Building upon decades of rigorous academic research combined with pragmatic industry experience that informs a distinctive perspective on the most impactful practices transforming offsite construction, we are offering MOD X EDU. This course will present the key concepts and principles, business strategies and models, product and subassemblies, and lessons learned internationally to maximize success in offsite development and delivery. The MOD X team will provide a select cohort of EDU participants a series of dynamic case studies and the underlying fundamentals required for moving the industry forward.
The EDU course will commence with an introductory session and presentation of key concepts and terminology in the offsite construction industry. Following the introductory session, the MOD X team will host a series of live video sessions and provide participant access to a newly produced series of on-demand video modules focused on the following topics:
Introduction to Offsite: Terminology, Categories & Key Concepts
Business Models, Market Sectors & Product Platforms
Design for Manufacturing & Automation (DfMA)
Site Assembly Coordination & Techniques
In addition, the final live video session will include an EDU wrap-up and exclusive MOD X networking event.
To balance maximal content delivery with scheduling flexibility, the EDU course has been structured utilizing thoroughly researched and highly applicable on-demand content combined with intensive and immersive live sessions. Four (4) live online video sessions (1.5-hour) will introduce key transformative practices in the outlined subject areas. Throughout the live sessions, the MOD X team will respond to participant questions in real-time.
Session topic summaries and inquires requiring supplemental research will be made available to all course participants following the live sessions. The live online video sessions will be supported by a series of on-demand video modules (2-hour) containing case studies of leading offsite companies from the North America, Europe and Asia released to course participants on November 29, 2021. Participants will have password-protected online access to several hours of recorded digital content that includes the series of live video sessions and on-demand video modules for a period of two (2) months.

Company registration includes MOD X EDU access for up to four (4) participants. A supplementary MOD X 1-hour advisory Q&A session on how these principles from the course can be applied to your company’s unique context is available upon request.
